Galaxy Tab S12 Series Leak Reveals Near-Official Release

The Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra have been steadily appearing in various certification lists, signaling an imminent release. Following recent Bluetooth SIG certification, the upcoming tablets have now surfaced on Google’s Play Console certification list.

Galaxy Tab S12 Appears on Google Play Console

The latest update to the Google Play Console’s supported devices list includes eight versions of both Galaxy Tab S12 models. Like the Bluetooth SIG certification, these new listings confirm multiple variants are in the works.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ utilizes the codename 'gts12pwifi' for its WiFi version, with model number SM-X840. A 5G option is also available, designated 'gts12p' and featuring four model numbers: SM-X846B, SM-X846E, SM-X846N, and SM-X848U.

The higher-end Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra follows a similar pattern, with the 'gts12uwifi' model bearing the number SM-X940. Its 5G variant, codenamed 'gts12u,' has two model numbers: SM-X946B and SM-X946N. These model numbers align with previous leaks found in certification databases worldwide.

Launch Timeline Expectations

Samsung has remained tight-lipped about the official launch timeframe, offering only a vague mention during their recent earnings call that the Tab S12 series and the Galaxy S26 FE are slated for release in the second half of the year.

However, unofficial reports suggest a launch during the IFA Berlin tech show, scheduled for the first week of September. Earlier rumors pointed to a premiere date around that time.
